Kittens, A Dog, Views to Die For - and Barbie

A bright sunny morning - still with a decidely fresh northerly wind to keep things cool.
One of the plants on our terrace - lethal spikes but they looked good against the sky.
Went out for lunch at the Olive Tree, passing this pile of four kittens on the way.
Great the way the sun catches these thistles.
After a lovely lunch and some amazingly effective Ross Emmett treatment for Su and me from Lesley, we went for a wander around the Chorio and met this hesitantly friendly little dog in one of the lanes.
After hearing about tunnels on many visits, we finally came across one!
We found ourselves really high up near Agia Triada with great views over the island and across to a really clear Turkey.
Wending our way back down from there, we found another tunnel!
Su pointed this out - no idea what the Argos Club was, nor the significance of the various dates or the shamrock-like logo
Blog writer caught in contemplation of Symi architecture.
Juudging by the masks and freshly inscribed stonework, some renovation is going on of this lovely old building
Coming back down to our apartment  after our afternoon's wander (warm in sun, definitely cool out of it) we saw that the sewing machine had been repainted and given a prominent position just below Barbie in this display:-)!
This day a year ago, we were some of the first customers at the grand new premises for the Olive Tree. Happy anniversary to them today, and we wish them many more!
