Growth, Bees, Gromit and Abandonment

Out with Bella this morning, I admired these fennel plants in a neighbour's garden.
The first chickweed I've spotted this year - they'll soon be much bigger.
This sunflower has shot up in the last few days.
This CD, used as a bird scarer, has completely lost its data layer after just a few weeks exposed to the elements. Won't sound good in the stereo!
I liked the detailing on this stonework.
Bees were again out collecting nectar.
And another one …
We went over to the Riverside Garden Centre in Bristol where we had an enjoyable lunch.
They are sponsoring a Gromit there, called Creature Comforts - like the sunflower for a nose. This is our second Gromit - only another 78 to go!
Looked across the river to the colourful houses of Hotwells tumbling down the hill from Clifton.
Out with Bella this afternoon, we went by St Stephens school.  I didn't realise that it was so long established.
An abandoned dummy on the green.
An abandoned mitten on this bollard.
Down the slope amongst the trees, a lone trainer - I suspect not so much abandoned as thrown there by a school colleague.
This evening, the skies were lit up by the setting sun.
This day a year ago we were still down in Devon enjoying mixed weather - rainy spells gave me time to use the site WiFi to upload some pictures.
