Down Into Bath Centre

Out with Bella this morning, saw this scene with nobody about - they either gave up in frustration or decided to be ready to tackle it first thing this morning.
This sunflower certainly lived up to its name this morning.
Went down into town, and saw this Hawaiian-style display in a shop window - just what we need for this weather.
We were on our way to the Little Theatre to see a free preview of What Maisie Knew - an engaging film with good acting by all the main characters. Highly recommended.
Afterwards we saw this - the wording suggests that entire buildings rose out of a swamp, or coalesced out of fog!
We wandered along to Green Park Station where the Artisans' Market was on, along with a stage for the Bath Folk Festival which is on all week. Ards Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann from County Down were playing (all 19 of them) along with two very accomplished dancers.
This is most of the band - they were very good. Liked the sign behind them which reads "No Unathorised Activities".
After that it was time to get a pasty for lunch, while listening to some very nice Spanish-style guitar in Abbey Square.
The Abbey in all its glory.
Wandering back to catch the bus, spotted this plaque to the inventor of the Biophantascope!
Next to it was this cupboard recessed into the wall - very Symi-like!
Waiting for the bus on Milsom Street opposite the site of the former brush manufactory
Then it was home to do unphotogenic things like backing up computers - nice to have a day off from being active after the last week's pursuits. More to tackle tomorrow!

This day a year ago, we were back from Devon and I was on kitchen-tile fitting duty.
