The Things You See…

Out with Bella this morning, spotted these jolly yellow flowers.
These flowers have not done so well in the recent cold spell
Our way was blocked by a replacement skip for the one full of rocks. Wondered if they were practising diving or walking the plank.
The sun has been shy, hiding behind thinnish clouds most of the day.
This battery is well past its use-by date.
This is my last week of teaching at UWE for this academic year - just a pile of marking to wade through before we head off to Symi in 3 weeks and 2 days.  Today I've sat through 20 student group presentations about business ideas - some really pretty good, and none absolutely awful. Later on, I spotted this notice pinned to the back of the men's toilets in N Block, ready for the regular occurence of them being out of operation, and was really taken by the inappropriate use of the UWE Facilties team's promise on the bottom of the page:- "Working together to meet exceed customers need" (complete with missing apostrophe).

This day a year ago, Su and I tackled the decking together and ended the day with this as our new back yard.
