Around Charlcombe

Another day of reading lots of student work - a lot of it not very good. Su encouraged me to escape with Bella for a walk this afternoon. The day started sunnily, but the clouds had soon rolled in - hasn't deterred the dandelions and forget-me-nots from popping up though.
The skies didn't look very promising (and it did rain a littlle later on in our walk).
A riot of primroses in this garden.
Found this on the garden wall of the house where Bryn had lived. He was a nice dog.
Great clouds looming over Solsbury Hill.
A bit brighter over towards Bathampton.
I liked the branches on this tree - the contrast with the trees behind it was more pronounced than this photograph suggests.
New brambles coming through the remains of the old.
Managed to grab a shot of this helicopter as it whizzed overhead
This house has slow progress because the first set of builders walked out of the job apparently, and the new owners are having to get people in as and when they can.  They are now making progress with some steps up from this level to the houseNice toys to play with!
After the rain, back at home the skies brightened up, and it was a lovely evening.
This day a year ago, I had nearly finished my stint of teaching in Hong Kong. This was the view in one direction from the college across one of the busy roads surrounding it.
