A Quiet Day on Symi

We walked down to Yialos last night to have a meal at Tholos, round on Harani.  On the way, we saw this tall-masted ship all lit up.
Even on Symi, you can find abandoned single items of clothing! This flip-flop was on the doormat of one of the expensive yachts.
This morning was bright and sunny once again.
Looking up to the Viglia from our apartments complex.
We spent a very leisurely and happy time at the Olive Tree.
Their sign has now migrated up the road from their former premises.
Eventually we tore ourselves away from their views and culinary delights and went for a wander. Spotted the magnificently faded grandeur of this old house.
Some interesting cloud formations this afternoon.
Walking up to the old windmills, we passed this piece of modern coquillage.
Made our way up to the Pontikastro.
There is speculation about the purpose and age of this old circular structure.
Great views looking down at Yialos and Harani.
The taxi-boat coming back round from Nimborio.
We've been looking at possible places to buy, but not sure if this is too much of a challenge! Indoor fig garden…
Passed the Sunrise Cafe and like the addition of "-ish" to the opening times.
After a stop at the Rainbow talking to Neil and Toby, we popped into Sotiris' supermarket and then saw these three cute street kittens cuddling up.
By the time we got back to our apartment, the sky had clouded over completely.
Then the sun started to set, so I will let the photos speak for themselves…
This day a year ago, we were still out of blogging range but we were finally under way enjoying being up with the sunrise and seeing the moon still in the sky.
