The Sun Came Out!

Misty start to the day - like waking up in a rainforest with water dripping though the canopy. Gradually warmed up. Went up to the shop to get a paper and saw these lovely lacecap hydrangeas. They are a bit like litmus paper, since their colour depends on the acidity of the soil (I think that red is acid, and blue is alkaline, even!). Not sure what to make of both colours on the same plant at once…
New to the site is this bird hide. The site is alive with birds of all sorts, even at this time of year. Not been in there yet, but might be tempted before we go.
We took Bella down to the beach for a walk this afternoon. Swung by the shop by the beach for an ice cream. Lots more people there than previous days.
Carried on round the coast towards the dog-friendly bit of beach, and saw the foal wake up as we went past.
Bella convinced me that I should clamber over rocks to get out to the water so that she could train me some more in how to throw the ball for her to retrieve.
We were rewarded with the sun coming out. It turned into a lovely warm afternoon, on a deserted stretch of beach - idyllic!
I got my feet in the sea:-)

When we walked back, the foal was up and about and much more sociable than the other day.
This day a year ago, we were looking for T4 camper vans on the Internet. All the ones we found were hundreds of miles away. Thoughts of a UK tour to look at them were dispelled by more rain…
