A Day at The Tile Face

Short posting today as not many activities, although quite busy. We started the morning off still in holiday mode by going to Prior Park for breakfast. On the way in, I actually stopped to read this sign, having walked past it many times without paying it any attention. I've never seen a horse hitched there!
On the way home, we passed this Olympic Torch rendered in plants on a roundabout (where else?!).
The rest of my day has been taken up with tiling the wall above our newly refurbished kitchen units to match the other side of the room. Just need the adhesive to dry and then I can grout it (such joy!). Solved lots of corner problems, but cannot manage to cut the tiles thin enough for some sections, so will need to think about how to tackle those small areas. After I finished, went and watched Mo Farah win his 5000m Olympic title before Su made a yummy tea!
This day a year ago, we entertained our co-Symiphiliacs, Barbara, Trish and Richard. We'll be seeing them tomorrow in Nailsea, so hope that the weather behaves itself…
