Working and Walking

Last night's sunset rounded off a lovely evening.
Today started off bright with sunshine. I spent the morning doing some consultancy about Apple Macs and publishing. By the time I finished, the sun had gone for the day, and the clouds had come back - but no rain yet. Took Bella out for a walk, past a neighbour's house with this flag up for some reason. Bristol Rovers ended up 6th in the Second Division last year, so not such a trial as some seasons!
The bees love the foxgloves that are out, burrowing deep into the flowers to get the nectar.
Found this painted in the middle of the road.  I guess they can't shove the electrons down the pipe, but what could the blockage be?
Big fungus growing out of a fallen tree stump. Great markings on it.
We went up to Charlcombe churchyard. Saw this new bench on the road just outside it - another bit of Jubilee-themed branding.
Fallen flower from a flame tree in the churchyard garden.
Sitting on the bench at the top of the garden, while Bella sought out a stick to chew.
The wall at the back of the Old Rectory - a grand example of masonry.
Grasses in Charlcombe fields.
More grasses…
The bacopa on our front windowsill are doing well.
This day a year ago, I drove my leased Skoda for the last time as I was due to hand it back two days later. Part of the change from being a full-time worker to retirement. This was a shot of my last time sitting at these traffic lights in rush hour traffic.
